What is a Women's Business Center?
Women's Business Centers (WBCs) are a part a national network of entrepreneurship centers throughout the United States and its territories, which are designed to assist women in starting and growing small businesses. WBCs seek to "level the playing field" for women entrepreneurs, who still face unique obstacles in the business world. WBCs are funded through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration, under the Office of Women Business Ownership.
How can a WBC help my small business?
SBA helps women entrepreneurs launch new businesses and compete in the marketplace. There are a number of resources for women-owned businesses including business training, counseling, federal contracts, and access to credit and capital.

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable nonprofit and entrepreneurial ecosystem that breaks down barriers and promotes economic empowerment for women. Our mission is rooted in the belief that women have the power to drive innovation, create jobs, and strengthen local communities.
Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in enhancing women's economic empowerment as it offers a pathway for women to overcome social and cultural barriers and become self-reliant. By encouraging women to start their own businesses and nonprofits, they can generate income, create job opportunities for themselves and others, contribute to economic growth, and improve their overall well-being. - Diane Bevan, CEO/Founder
